Debt. It is seen as a bad word. There is ‘good debt and bad debt’. But we’re focusing on getting you out of the ‘bad debt’. I’m talking about Credit Cards, Personal Loans, etc. The stuff that has no value to your overall assets. Those are what we are working towards getting rid of. Here are a couple of tools that’ll kick start your journey.

Financial Accountability Partner-

An accountability partner can change the game with your finance goals.

Your accountability partner can help you with your goals, problem solving, and provide you with motivation and support when needed.

Having someone in your financial business can seem scary and invasive at first. So, make sure it’s a family member of friend that you trust.

They don’t have to know your day-to-day, just your overall goals and the plan for how you’ll get there. They can stop you from making unproductive money moves that may set you back.

Regular check-ins can help hold you accountable and you’ll hit financial milestones. It’s a great way to keep the positive momentum going.

Having a financial accountability partner while avoiding new debt is a great game plan to get out of debt sooner. It’ll be a hard game to play, but on the other side of your win you’ll be so much happier.

Avoid NEW Debt-

Debt is a slippery slope! It can easily go from a few overdue purchases to a gigantic number that’s somewhere in the hundreds of thousands. And THAT number hanging over your head can seem devastating.

Don’t let it get that bad!

If that means you have to hide credit cards from yourself and just focus on paying them off, DO IT.

Are there multiple cards that you rotate through? STOP IT.

Do you have a go-to store credit card you use all the time? DESTROY IT.

This is a mind game. You’ve got to trick yourself into not using the cards anymore. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in credit card debt, but climbing out of it can feel like a sand pit.

There is always something that comes up or catches your eye right when you muster up the strength to stop the vicious cycle. STAY STRONG!

It’ll be a lot of trial and error, but KEEP PUSHING. You’ve got this!

Having a financial accountability partner while avoiding new debt is a great game plan to get out of debt sooner. It’ll be a hard game to play, but on the other side of your win you’ll be so much happier.
