Let’s Organize Your 2nd Home, the Car

For many people their car is always going to a frow. Between the commute to work, employee conferences, taking the kids to three different sports practices, and any other event thrown in the mix, the car can easily become like a second home. There are essentials we keep in our own homes to make it function for use, but what about your car? Do you take the time to be sure your car is well stocked with vital supplies that can handle whatever events take over the day?

I used to keep the bare minimum in my car…my insurance stuff and me. After one too many times on the side of the road due to car trouble, I realized I needed quite a few more things in my car on a regular basis. It was a hard lesson to learn, but better late than never. So, I slowly stocked up, first were the essentials, safety items and water. It gets HOT where I live so water is needed, the cooler helps keep it at a bearable drinking temperature in 100-degree weather. Next, I figured I should keep a few charging cords on deck so I don’t have to dig through my purse every time. I needed a way to organize all the things I was bringing in, so a trunk organizer saved me. Snacks … enough said. And then finally some items in case I needed to stay in my car for a while, you NEVER know what can happen. I prefer to be overprepared.

Now you may not see everything I listed as necessary, and that is okay. We all have different needs for our day-to-day lives, and you should pack your car accordingly. Are there any other things you keep in your car that I might have missed?
