1.Pack Snacks for the Road

With the weather warming up, you may find yourself going out a bit more.

Packing yourself some snacks and water for when you run errands can save you from impulse buying snacks and meals outside of the home.

You’d be surprised how easy it is to take a few protein bars or some fruit along with you to keep yourself fueled. This especially comes in handy if you are out for way longer than you intended.

My favorite go-to snacks are some beef sticks and some wheat thins. I get my protein to keep me going and that crunch I crave in a good snack. Oh, and water. Stay HYDRATED friends.

2. Use Cash

In a digital world that is ever evolving, cash may seem obsolete, but for those staying on a budget, cash is still a vital part of everyday life.

It’s one of the easiest ways to stick to a certain spending threshold when buying things. Once that cash is gone, it’s gone.

There is no grace period or overdraft fee. If you have $26 then you cannot spend $30. Simple as that.

Sometimes we’ve got to go back to old school ways to reach our goals.

3. Buy Used Instead of New

Buying new can get expensive quickly. You can shop thrift stores, garage sales, or online marketplace for a variety of things.

It lets you get items that you wouldn’t normally have bought if it were full price. Things like expanding your wardrobe, nice furniture pieces, or electronics are all things that can bring you a new joy, even if they aren’t new themselves.

You’ll be surprised how much like-new stuff people sell because it doesn’t work for them for some reason. You can get things with tags still attached at times. Win-win.

Pro Tip: Be sure to wash or clean ALL items thoroughly! Even new items still need a good wash once you bring it home. You never know what those clothes or that furniture has been through before you got it.

Making and sticking to a shopping list and eating before you go grocery shopping is a must!

Yes! This is a great way to save money. Eating before grocery shopping saves me from all the extra snacks that sneak into my cart. Lol
